Open to the public
12 February 2017

78 Derngate, a historic house in Northampton, is celebrating its 10th anniversary of opening since it was fully restored in 2003. 78 Derngate was dramatically remodelled in 1916/17 by the great Glasgow designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It was commissioned by the thoroughly modern W J Bassett-Lowke and was Mackintosh’s last major commission and the only house he designed in England. The house, alongside art galleries, restaurant and shop is now open to the public.
